Dr Ian Wootton, clinical & forensic psychologist

RO DBT therapist and founder of Flexible Mind Psychology.

This week’s guest is Dr Ian Wootton! Make sure to tune in next week for another special guest.

Dr Ian Wootton is a consultant Clinical and Forensic Psychologist (HCPC registered and BPS chartered), who has worked in many psychological settings over the last twenty years. Ian over the course of his professional career has found that there are people in the community who may not be as positive as they present to be on the outside. That’s when Flexible Mind Psychology was set up; to help those who are feeling disconnected or isolated. Ian helps people to develop fulfilling relationships and to interact more effectively, while being able to adapt to the ever-changing world.

Ian is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Group Analytic Psychotherapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). More recently, he has developed an interest in Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RO DBT) which aims to treat conditions of over control. Ian sits on the board of the European team of Senior RO DBT clinicians, and has developed a number of workshops and training events.
